I'm buying my girlfriend a GPS system as part of your Christmas list. I do not want to pay more than $ 200.00. From what I can tell so far, GPS is one of the best on the market. I am looking for two so far – are the Garmin Nuvi 200 portable GPS system and Garmin StreetPilot c530 3.5-inch navigator Portable GPS. I'm also looking at TomToms – Model TomTom One, 3rd Edition 3.5 inch Portable GPS Navigator TomTom ONE car and portable GPS vehicle Navigator. Can anyone tell me which of these is the best and why you recommend? It would be helpful, thanks!

this price for TomTom may have the best maps. in the circumstances I would say get the NUVI all day. But if you stay in the range of $ 200 you definitely get what you pay. Only I say that because the maps are of a third party company. that is why the units are so cheap. If you can see if you can stretch to $ 400 to make sure you have atleast a decent quality.
