I have 2 kicker Solo-Baric ® L5 Subwoofers and need to know how much I need to power my car.?

how big an amp do I need?

Since it has not been the exact model (size, impedance voice coils) that will give you the basics. Add RMS power handling for each sub. They say they are 500 watts each, then for two will be 1000 watts. Then you have to calculate how it will connect (serial, parallel or series-parallel) and get your final impedance. For two double coils 4 ohms, two submarines, can get a final impedance of 4 ohms or 1 ohm. For these I would find an amp which has an output of 1000 watts RMS @ 4 ohms.
