what subs should i get?

Alright, I have a 1996 honda accord, i have been through many many systems in this car. I have not had a major problem yet.
Recently i had two tens kicker comps in there, i sold those and put in two quantum audio 12′s with a old school x-file 1200d amp. Now they were pushing really really good. Then i found one of my old amps planet audio 1250×1. So i decided to throw that in yesterday, about five minutes in to jamming i blew both speakers i was expecting this. So i went and got two DB platinum 12′s put them in last night and they were rocking my car like never before. I left class this afternoon got in my car and turned on my subs and blew these two out, i froze the coil this time, so my question is this, WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN NOW????

Turn your gain and bass boost down,and make sure the subs are in the right enclosure for the model you are using ,there is no such thing in car audio as one size fits all especially when it comes to enclosure design
